Farm Events
Join us this season for a moment of connection, laughter, and always, flowers.
Flower Power Happy Hour
Grab your friends, family, and besties and join us at Fern's Farmette for an evening flower-filled Happy Hour. Your evening starts with refreshments and light snacks and connection with other flower lovers.
After imbibing and snacking on refreshments, you'll join me (Ashley) on a tour through our flower farm operation. We'll stroll through our main flower production area and visit our range of pocket gardens that each serve a distinct, and seasonal purpose to our flower production. You'll learn what it's like to grow a massive amount of flowers in a very small space, and leave with ideas for your own growing ambitions and flower-filled dreams.
After the short tour, we'll set up at some tables in our fields, weather permitting, or on our porches for a bouquet building demonstration. You'll get to select from the best of the best flowers to create your own arrangement. If you see something that strikes your fancy on our tour, you're welcome to snip flowers straight from the fields too.
Happy hour ends with dusk settling over the farm as the fireflies come out for their nightly dance. Our Flower Happy Hour is timed to end near or just after sunset, capturing the perfect golden hour to take photographs before heading on your way and throughout the experience.
Fern's Farmette is not generally open to the public, so these events are the few times of year you can stroll the farm and enjoy a front row seat to the behind the scenes action of a working flower farm. We hope you'll visit our little flower farm in 2026 - we can't wait to share the wonder of our flower fields with you.

The Details
Tickets are $75 per person. Includes flowers, vessels, light drinks/snacks, a farm tour, and self-photography. Light alcoholic beverages available only to people 21+.
Age Range: This event is intended for persons age 18+ and is adult-centered. Please do not bring children, dogs, cats, or anyone who is not over the age of 18.
Tickets are not refundable, but they are transferable: Purchase of a Happy Hour ticket is like purchasing a concert ticket - no refunds, but you can transfer to another person if you are unexpectedly unable to attend. If we have enough advance notice and can fill your seat, we *may* be able to move you to another date, but it is not guaranteed.
Severe Weather: Rain is not severe weather, so please be weather-aware. Events will be held even if there is a light-medium rain, but the bouquet making will be under a covered space. In the event of a severe thunderstorm, lightning, tornado, or extreme heat, we will first reschedule the event to another day ASAP. If the event cannot be rescheduled, we will refund tickets. Participants will be notified via email if weather appears to interfere with a Happy Hour. Decisions related to severe weather will likely be made the day of the event because, you know, Kansas.
Wear appropriate footwear/clothing. We are a working farm, which means mud, uneven ground, and insects. Please wear closed toed shoes at a minimum, and shoes you will not care if they get muddy. Dress appropriately for the weather, as we will be 100% outside. Events are rain or shine, with the exception of very severe weather. Even in the evening, July and August can still be quite hot at 7pm. Our farm is a thriving ecosystem, so please expect bees, mosquitoes, butterflies, spiders, and a myriad of other insects that make their home here. We expect visitors to be respectful of our insect friends (except mosquitoes) and wildlife. Snakes have been known to surprise us.
Accessibility. While we aim to make our farm as accessible as possible, it is a commercial flower farm, meaning we do not have footpaths or sidewalks and the terrain is uneven. Most of our farm areas are only accessible by walking to them. While our farm is small, we do not have regular places to sit down or rest, so our events are not recommended for people unable to walk or stand for at least 30-45 minutes. We do have a golf cart we can utilize to support getting people around, however not all spaces are accessible by the cart. If you have mobility concerns, please reach out to us at fernsfarmette@gmail.com to discuss further and if we can make it happen, we will!
